Greater Baltimore Leadership Association (GBLA) Young Professionals Auxiliary
What is GBLA?
Under the tutelage of J. Howard Henderson, the Greater Baltimore Leadership Association (GBLA) was launched on February 15, 2002 as the Young Professionals' Auxiliary of the Greater Baltimore Urban League.
The organization was created to support the objectives of the Urban League, as it endeavors to improve the quality of life for African-Americans and other minorities in Baltimore City and its surrounding counties.
The GBLA has adopted a five-pronged approach, comprised of real world education, financial empowerment, political empowerment, public health, and professional development to fulfill its mission.
The organization serves as a vehicle for young African-American and other minority leaders, aged 21 to 40 years old, who are committed to making a difference in the community.
